INTEREST/STUDY GROUPS & PROGRAMMES

The current interest/study groups are listed below followed by proposed groups. New members wishing to attend a group should contact the group leader first.

Group Leaders wishing to make announcements at the U3A main monthly meetings are required to inform the chairman before the day of the meeting.

Rita Turner, the General Co-ordinator, will be pleased to offer help and advice to any member wishing to start a new group.

Chat and Stitch- Mansfield Group	This group meets on the third Monday of the month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at St John's Centre, Mansfield. Bring your own work and have a chat and a coffee. Tel Marion Owens 450924(Please note:- small admission charge).
Craft	On the second Tuesday of each month, now at St John`s Centre, Mansfield from 10am-12pm. There will be a different topic each month. Discussion and debate	A group for discussing and reviewing news items and topical issues. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at various homes from 2 - 4 pm. Tel Stephanie Parker 429469(Small admission charge).
Family History	A group for researching Family History, which meets at the Park Road Resource Centre, Park Road, Mansfield Woodhouse. Different topics covered at each meeting. (Please note:- small admission charge). Tel Kathleen Wilson tel 427892

Holiday, Breaks and Day-trips-Mansfield Group	The Mansfield U3A organises various day-trips, weekend breaks and holidays throughout the year for all U3A members. See entries in the Diary Dates web page or click *here* for full details.

Scrabble	On the 4th Thursday at leaders home contact Madge Paling 627838. We play to enjoy the game but not too seriously as to make it hard work!
Tai Chi Group	The Tai Chi Group will have a further ten sessions at the St John`s Centre in Mansfield from 9.30 to 10.30 am:- Hopefully the present costings will prevail and Cliff Laycock the co-ordinator will be collecting monies at the September meeting.
